Experience:I worked as an English teacher in Tokyo, Japan where I fulfilled the following duties and responsibilities:
- Delivering English lessons to children aged 0 to 5 years old, including singing, reading books, dancing, and engaging in fun activities with the children.
- Assisting in preparing English materials such as flashcards, cutouts, story books, etc., and creating lesson plans.
- Scheduling monthly meetings.
- Taking on leadership duties for office cleaning, waste disposal, and organizing arrangements.
- Ordering and receiving supplies such as A4 papers, laminating sheets, stationery, story books, and other materials for the company.
- Possessing strong team collaboration, time management, and communication skills.
- Sending professional emails and communicating with other junior teachers.
Approach:I try to change topics every 15 minutes. Just as I do in the classroom, I write the topics down and check them off as we progress. I have a warm-up and a recap. I have goals. I ask the student if this plan for the lesson will support their learning and we modify the plan as needed together. It is a pleasure to customize learning.
